Senior Clinician – Psych Triage & Emergency Department Response
Permanent Full-Time and Part-Time Roles
We have an exciting opportunity available for passionate, motivated and patient centred senior mental health clinicians, with recent experience in acute or community mental health settings, to join our Adult Mental Health Triage & Emergency Response Team at Eastern Health. These positions are rotating positions with the Crisis Assessment and Treatment Teams and the Mental Health and Police Response Teams.
The Adult Mental Health Triage & Emergency Response Team provides comprehensive face to face assessments within our 3 Emergency Departments (Box Hill hospital, Maroondah hospital & Angliss hospital), telephone triaging and providing assessments via telehealth medium for adult, young and aged persons. This opportunity further allows you to work in collaboration with the police as part of the PARTS/PACER service, perform the role of triage bed manager and also network and collaborate with the wider service to enhance our holistic provision of high quality care.
To be successful in the role you will:
- Hold registration/membership with the relevant board
- Have recent experience in acute inpatient or community mental health
- Possess well-developed interpersonal and leadership skills
- Have the ability to work as part of a diverse team
- Have a strong commitment to high quality patient care
- Be highly accountable and display a supportive and engaging style
The position involves shift work, including night duty, and a rotating 7 day roster, and will be rotated through the Crisis Assessment and Treatment and the Mental Health and Police Response Teams.
All shifts are flexible in order to meet the demand on the day, and staff may be required to work across sites.
