Job Ref: 625594 - Associate Clinical Services Coordinator

  • Indicative Total Remuneration: $98,239 - $106,643 (pro rata) – Permanent P/T (32 hrs p/wk) – RN/RM2

Joining our friendly team in a rural health setting, you will provide specific support to the Clinical Service Coordinator in the leadership of nurses/midwives within the Murray Bridge Soldiers' Memorial Hospital. Overseeing the provision of nursing/midwifery care within the team, you will assess patients' needs and plan, implement and coordinate appropriate service delivery options whilst communicating changes in condition and care. This will be achieved by integrating advanced theoretical knowledge, evidence from a range of sources and your own experience to devise and achieve agreed patient care outcomes. Monitoring patient care plans, you will participate in clinical auditing and evaluative research to ensure appropriate patient care outcomes are achieved on a daily basis. Supporting and working collaboratively with less experienced members of the nursing team, you will maintain a learning culture by encouraging professional development and assisting others to maintain portfolios of learning.

You will be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse and midwife by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. With prior experience in management and leadership roles, you will be capable of giving supervision to student nurses, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses. You will use your effective communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills to maintain a cohesive multidisciplinary team and resolve local or immediate nursing care problems. Knowledge of Quality Improvement Systems as applied to a hospital setting will be highly regarded.
