Clinical leadership: getting it right!

A must attend webinar for all clinical leaders and aspiring nurse leaders

Clinical leaders are seen as experts in their field who use interpersonal skills to inspire and enable other nurses and health care providers to deliver quality patient care. In other words, a leader’s role is to elicit effective performance from others. Yet sometimes we witness work environments tolerating ineffective behaviours that can ultimately affect patient care.

Getting it right is a complex task. Nurses are often placed in leadership positions without adequate preparation and support in their roles. The clinical leader must be as proficient in relational skills as they are in clinical skills. This webinar will identify the qualities, skills and styles of a nurse leader who is a role model for the empowerment of others.

Topics covered:

  • What are the realities of the clinical leadership role?
  • Culture and its impact
  • Styles of leadership that build resonance
  • The emotionally intelligent leader at work

This webcast is available for registered participants for 3 weeks.

Cost:   ACN members $22 (incl. GST)
