About the COI
Australian College of Nursing (ACN) members have the opportunity to connect with like-minded nurses around the country who share areas of interest or specialty through Communities of Interest (COI). The Adolescent and Young People COI brings together nurses who are passionate about, or interested in, working with young people. If you are a member of ACN and would like to join the COI to connect and engage in discussions, you can do so via neo. If you are not yet a member of the ACN Tribe and would like to sign up to access COIs and other member benefits, we would love you to join online.

Tune in to the audio series
The Adolescent and Young People COI has produced the Nursing Conversations: Working with Young People audio series profiling international and local academics and clinicians working in the field of young people and adolescent health.
The short episodes – which are 10-15 minutes in length – explore the guest’s career background along with their motivations for working with children and adolescents. The series also provides listeners with insights into different methodologies to draw on when working with and caring for young people and adolescents.
We are excited to provide a sneak peek of the first episode which features COI Chair Professor Alison Hutton FACN in conversation with Janet A. Deatrick FAAN of the University of Pennsylvania. Future episodes will be made available exclusively to members of the Adolescent and Young People COI on neo. To become a part of the group and access these insightful resources we encourage you to join the COI.
