Each event clearly outlines the key learning outcomes as well as the number of CPD hours that can be claimed once completed, assisting you in achieving the requisite hours required by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) for your annual renewal and authority to practice.

A

14 CPD Hours

This is a two-day comprehensive ECG interpretation and arrhythmia management short course designed for clinicians who require knowledge and skills to interpret a normal 12-lead electrocardiogram and to recognise deviations from normal.

Topics covered include arrhythmia interpretation and assessment with special emphasis on locating types of MI (myocardial infarction), normal axis deviations and identifying electrolyte imbalance, medical and nursing management.

Clients with serious mental illness have a 20% reduction in life expectancy compared with the general population.  This is primarily a result of poor metabolic health. This two-day short course will provide an introduction to the issue of physical health care within mental health. The core focus of the short course teaches participants how to identify and monitor metabolic abnormalities, and implement prevention and treatment strategies to overcome them.
