Operating suite management involves the comprehensive use of resources as well as the management of people. This unit of study aims to equip students with the fundamental principles of management and the skills required to manage the unique operating suite environment. Students will review organisational theory. Skills to manage a changing work environment are also examined, from developing business plans to design briefs, business submissions and equipment acquisition. The analytical process for strategic planning and reliance on information systems are also discussed.
