ACN funds and administers a number of grants that are available to members and fellows of ACN. This funding has been made available to ACN from benefactors who have nominated specific selection criteria for their awards. Not all awards are offered each year.
2017 Grants and Awards
Applications for the 2017 Grants and Awards are expected to open in mid February. Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application in July and the awards will be presented at the ACN National Nursing Forum to be held in Sydney from 21-23 August.
The following grants and awards will be offered in 2017
The Sul Stuart-Fraser Scholarship
Funding to complete the ACN Graduate Certificate in perioperative nursing, beginning October 2017 or January 2018. The scholarship is for ACN members or fellows only.
The ‘Ollie’ Nurse Practitioner Scholarship Value $5,000
Offered, in collaboration with the Australian College of Nurse Practitioners (ACNP), to a nurse practitioner for the purpose of growing the body of knowledge on the nurse practitioner role in Australia. The scholarship is for ACN or ACNP members or fellows only.
The College Consortium Fund – up to $30,000
This research grant is available to registered nurses or midwives to conduct a research project that aims to improve access, equity, quality and outcomes in health care.
Applications from research collectives and multidisciplinary groups are encouraged.
The chief or lead investigator must be a member or fellow of ACN.
Sister Margaret Y Winning Scholarship Value $10,000
A scholarship for students at the Queensland University of Technology undertaking a Masters or PhD program.
Applicants must be a member or fellow of ACN.
