Leadership and workplace culture: challenges and strategies

Printer-friendly versionPrinter-friendly version

In the health care system, nurses are ubiquitous and have both formal and informal leadership roles. Nurses are in a position to influence workplace culture, access and quality of health care provision.
Workplace culture can be intrinsically linked to leadership often with a ‘knock on’ effect on productivity and quality. Effective leadership can illuminate a path through times of uncertainty.

Leadership may be observed at all levels of an organisation. Good leadership can mean the difference between achieving improvements, treading water or possibly sinking.

In the context of nurses as leaders enhancing health care, this webinar addresses:

  • leadership styles and theories
  • the importance of values
  • building a positive workplace culture
  • improving productivity and quality
  • resilience, role modelling and reflection.

This webcast is available for registered participants for 3 weeks.
