The Australian College of Nursing (ACN) warmly extends congratulations to re-appointed Minister for Health and Aged Care, The Hon. Sussan Ley MP, re-appointed Assistant Minister for Health and Aged Care, The Hon. Ken Wyatt MP and newly appointed Assistant Minister for Rural Health, Dr David Gillespie MP.
ACN’s CEO, Adjunct Professor Kylie Ward FACN said, “ACN looks forward to working collaboratively with both re-appointed and newly appointed Ministers to understand the positive impact nurses make to Australia’s health system on a daily basis. ACN will work with the Government to influence policy and play a role in reshaping the health care of Australians.”
“The nursing workforce is known to drive change from within the health system, leading to better health outcomes for all Australians. Nurses have the ability to shape and advocate for health reform that guarantees access to health care for all Australians. We need to continue to develop a diverse nursing workforce to meet the unique needs of communities and individuals,” she said.
