The annual Australian Healthcare Week Conference, held 21-23 March, hosted its Excellence Awards last night at the International Convention Centre at Darling Harbour in Sydney. The Awards aim to recognise those who are making the greatest contributions to patient wellbeing.

Our CEO Adjunct Professor Kylie Ward FACN was one of the judges on the panel and presented the Nurse of the Year Award to none other than Judith Smith MACN!
Judy is a Member of ACN and is also a Scholarly Teaching Fellow for Nursing at University of Technology Sydney. She has introduced innovative teaching practices, invested in undergraduates through to specialised nurses to help them grow and develop, embarked on research and combined technology to care delivery. She is a true nursing leader and an inspiring perioperative nurse and lecturer.
