The Australian College of Nursing will host the Military COI Conference at the National Convention Centre in Canberra on Monday 25 October.
The conference aims to engage with a wide range of nurses (not just military), providing an overview of both operational and strategic military nursing experiences — will be held at the National Convention Centre.
Attendees can expect to hear insightful and thought-provoking presentations from a range of keynote speakers, including but not limited to:
- A look into current Australian Defence Force nurses undertaking ACN leadership programmes and how they are incorporating what they are learning into developing their practice
- An update from the members of the ACN Military Nursing COI & how they propose to engage with the community
- Proposal for the development of a position statement for military nursing.
Registrations for the event are now available on the ACN website.
The event will be run by ACN’s Military Nursing Community of Interest (COI), a collective of like-minded nurses from across Australia working in the Australian Defence Force (ADF), the Australian Public Service (APS) and contracted nursing staff.
The COI supports the profession of military nurses and encourages engagement with those who have an affiliation with the military.
The Military COI Conference will take place the day prior to the National Nursing Forum (NNF) ACN’s signature leadership event which takes place in Canberra from Tuesday 26 – Thursday 28 October 2021.
Registrations are also open and can be made here.
