The Australian College of Nursing (ACN) Virtual Nursing & Health Expo (the expo), held on April 24, saw over 3,500 attendees come together to explore potential career and education pathways in the nursing and health professions.
The Expo, which was proudly sponsored by our Corporate Partner HESTA, provided a platform for prospective and current nursing students to connect with a range of organisations including hospitals, health care services, educational institutions and specialty nursing groups. Attendees also had the chance to hear a range of informative and practical presentations from key leaders within the nursing profession.
Traditionally held Melbourne, the 2021 expo was additionally special as it marked the expansion to a virtual format and nation-wide audience.
The day featured four keynote speeches, including a welcome from ACN’s CEO Adjunct Professor Kylie Ward FACN and an interactive presentation on CV’s and interview skills by Executive Director Education Yvonne McKinlay FACN.
HESTA Super and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency also gave talks on the importance of Super Health checks and the role of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and Regulation respectively.
These presentations are now available for viewing on the ACN website.
Around these presentations attendees also had the opportunity to network with like-minded attendees and interact with over 40 exhibitor booths.
ACN would like to thank all delegates who attended and organisations who hosted a booth. We also extend our thanks to the ACN Emerging Nurse Leaders and staff for their help on the day to answer enquiries at the ACN booth.
We would love for you to share your favourite part of attending the expo by using the hashtag #ACNExpo through your social media channels.
