Ideally seeking an applicant with previous experience as a Clinical Nurse working in Aged Care or a Medical Unit.
The Clinical Nurse will provide clinical expertise, support, leadership and education to nursing staff within the Eventide Residential Aged Care Facility to ensure the provision of best practice and quality care.
A Clinical Nurse is expected to apply critical thinking across all domains, which include provision of care, support of systems, education, research and professional leadership.
Supported Staff Accommodation will be temporarily available, however negotiated prior to appointment, to identify individual need and Hospital and Health Service availability. Relocation and Associated Travel expenses will be supported to the maximum value of $2,000.
Generous remuneration package value up to $113,024 p.a. comprising salary range of $3535.30 to $3785.80 p.f. (Nurse Garde 6-Band 1), 17.5% leave loading, 12.75 % employer contribution to superannuation. About Eventide Residential Aged Care Facility
Eventide comprises of 110 residential aged care beds (Commonwealth funded) and self-managed hostel services.
Eventide consist of specific units relating to older persons’ mental health, secure dementia and high care older persons’ and has a commitment to providing safe and quality care to care recipients in a home like environment, while meeting the Australian Aged Care Agency – Accreditation Standards and the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards Accreditation.
Requirements of the role
- Mandatory: Bachelor of Nursing and Midwifery or equivalent is a mandatory qualification for this position.
- Highly Desirable: Tertiary Qualification relevant to the position or working towards a relevant Qualification.
- Shift Workers: Appointees will be required to work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster. and maybe required to participate in the on-call roster.
- Aged Care Pre Employment Screening – Potential applicants for this position are advised that before an applicant can be appointed, Section 63-1A of the Aged Care Act 1997 requires Queensland Health employees and volunteers to have a current National Police Certificate. Queensland Health will facilitate applicants obtaining the above Police checks.
