An exciting opportunity exists for an Executive Director Learning and Teaching/ Chief Nursing & Midwifery Officer who will become a key member of the executive team and will be accountable for providing leadership across Eastern Health to enable delivery of the strategic plan and delivery of Eastern Health’s mission, vision and values.
This position will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer. The ED of Learning and Teaching / Chief Nurse and Midwifery Officer is accountable for professional leadership to nursing and midwifery staff and effective leadership and management of learning and teaching services and systems across Eastern Health.
Within the professional portfolio the position is responsible for nursing and midwifery governance, leadership, strategic planning and workforce development. You will collaborate with the Executive Directors to ensure that nursing and midwifery services are provided within agreed organisational parameters, industrial and legislative frameworks, as well as lead the nursing and midwifery workforce unit and drive strategy and workforce planning for nursing and midwifery staff across Eastern Health. As well as drive and deliver the Eastern Health Learning and Teaching plan and lead the development, implementation and evaluation of learning and development systems and services.
Eastern Health is seeking an outstanding, inspirational and driven leader with a passion for Nursing and Midwifery as its Executive Director Learning and Teaching / Chief Nursing and Midwifery Officer. The successful candidate will be an active, outcomes-focused member of the Executive leadership team, with the ability to contribute to organisation-wide, effective and timely strategic change.
The ED, Learning and Teaching and Chief Nursing & Midwifery Officer will be registered as a General Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia and hold a current Annual Practicing Certificate, and hold a Post Graduate qualification in nursing education, health or business administration.
