About the role
In this role you will partner with the district-wide Specialty Clinical Nurse (based in Nelson) to provide specialised client-centred care, education and advice. This role contributes positively to achieving our obligations for patients to receive timely bowel cancer treatment.

Ideally you will be a practising Senior Registered Nurse with experience of endoscopy. However, we will consider Registered Nurses who can demonstrate relevant experience and a commitment to following a developmental pathway to become a Senior Registered Nurse. It is essential that you have completed a post graduate nursing qualification, or be working toward this. In your practice you will use excellent communication and teamwork skills to assist patients and whanau to navigate their treatment journey and achieve optimal health outcomes.
Additional requirements for this position include:
- Current Nursing Council registration and practising certificate
- Validated clinical experience in endoscopy
- Expert level PDRP portfolio, or working towards.
