Post-anaesthetic recovery unit nursing

This unit of study prepares students to assess and manage patients in the initial recovery period following surgery or an anaesthetic procedure. Issues and content covered in this unit of study provide students with an opportunity to develop advanced clinical skills, especially in airway management, respiratory and cardiac assessment, management of context-specific technology and enhanced decision-making skills.
