Professional issues in aged care nursing

The unit of study explores the role of the aged care nurse across a diversity of settings, as well as identifying specialist knowledge and skills related to advanced clinical practice. Students will explore professional issues such as ethics, legislation, euthanasia, guardianship, restraint, interpersonal skills, counselling and conflict resolution and stress management. This unit of study has a clinical practice activity to be undertaken in the student’s workplace.
