This unit of study is designed for nurses working in both acute care, community and paediatric settings. The content revises the pathophysiology of diabetes and uses case studies that focus on diabetic conditions and management. This unit will examine the nurse’s role and aspects of diabetes health promotion that influence people’s lives with diabetes. This unit of study encourages using current literature and best practice models to evaluate current clinical practice critically.
