Fellows and Members of ACN are regularly invited to participate in consultations on a broad range of clinical, professional and health policy issues. Opportunities to contribute to ACN submissions are advertised through direct communication with members.

  • Have your say: Proposed changes to medication labelling
    The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) is seeking feedback on proposed updates to medicine labelling requirements in Australia. These changes aim to:
    – Update mandatory substance and warning declarations
    – Improve clarity and accessibility of information on labels
    – Modernise labelling standards to meet current needs
    Share your views and help shape the future of medicine labelling by completing our survey. This consultation will be open until mid Feb 2026.

Policy Summit

Every year ACN hosts an invitation-only Policy Summit in Canberra. At the Summit, Policy Fellows, and Distinguished Guests have the opportunity to engage in high-level discussions regarding ACN’s policy strategy and wider issues affecting nursing and healthcare.

Parliamentary Friends of Nursing

ACN launched the Parliamentary Friends of Nursing as a forum open to all parliamentarians to meet to discuss a range of issues facing the nursing profession and how the nursing profession can provide solutions to the issues facing Australia’s health system.
