At ACN, we value the insights and experiences of our Affiliate Members. Being an ACN Affiliate Member is more than just a relationship; it is about forming connections, supporting each other, and advancing the industry for our nurses, students, and healthcare professionals.
We want to hear directly from our affiliates about why they enjoy being part of our affiliate community. Join us as we delve into their stories and discover what makes affiliate membership with ACN so rewarding.
The Drug and Alcohol Nurses of Australasia (DANA) is a peak nursing organisation dedicated to nurses, nurse practitioners, and midwives with a professional interest in Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) issues. As a Bronze Affiliate of ACN, DANA is committed to enhancing the capacity of all nurses to respond effectively to AOD issues in a culturally sensitive manner.
Our affiliation with ACN has significantly strengthened our voice, allowing us to collaborate on government submissions and launch impactful initiatives. This year, we proudly introduced the ‘Lead from Where You Are’ program for drug and alcohol nurses, in partnership with ACN. This program is designed to inspire and equip nurses with the skills they need to unlock their leadership potential and drive meaningful change.
Additionally, DANA members benefit from Affiliate benefits, including the highly sought-after ACN Membership and National Nursing Forum registration, which we award through an expression of interest process. These opportunities are greatly valued by our members and contribute to their professional growth and development.
We look forward to continuing our partnership with ACN and furthering our mission to support nurses in addressing AOD issues with expertise and compassion.
