An open letter from the
Australian College of Nursing

The leading organisation representing the nursing profession, the Australian College of Nursing (ACN) is calling on all Australia to do their part and receive the COVID-19 vaccine as soon as they can.

Nurses have been on the frontline of the COVID-19 pandemic since its beginning and have seen its impact firsthand. You have trusted us to care for you, your friends and family and your community from childhood through to old age.

Now we ask you to trust us, your nurses, when we say: please get vaccinated.

As part of this campaign, ACN is calling on the Australian Government to do everything it can to ensure as many Australians as possible receive the COVID-19 vaccine, and that the Government takes all available measures to combat vaccine hesitancy in the community.

ACN believes the nursing voice should be front and centre in the vaccine and vaccine-hesitancy discussion, and because Australians deserve to hear expert, person-centred trusted advice from the country’s nurses.
