This unit of study provides nurses with the opportunity to develop, extend, and integrate their knowledge and skills in delivering comprehensive care to individuals diagnosed with breast cancer. It is designed to enhance understanding of the disease process and its physical, psychological, and social impacts, enabling nurses to provide appropriate, person-centred care and support. The unit explores diagnostic processes and current treatment modalities, equipping registered nurses with the knowledge and clinical reasoning required to assist patients in adjusting to their diagnosis and navigating the continuum of breast cancer treatment.
