As part of its advocacy and policy work, ACN develops discussion papers in response to current and emerging issues in health and nursing. Discussion papers are evidence based, and are intended to provide balanced information on a particular topic without espousing a particular position. A discussion paper does not stand by itself as a statement of policy but may be used to formulate a position statement on the same topic.
